INNOVATIONS IN GEOTHERMAL DRILLING SERVICES

Barbour Well specializes in drilling large diameter geothermal wells that are high yield and high quality in support of the geothermal industry throughout Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and the Western United States.

Barbour’s previous experience, in addition to geothermal drilling, spans over 3 decades of geophysical logging, water well design, drilling and workover/stimulation, downhole video services and oil production wells, servicing the water, oil and geothermal industries, making Barbour ideally suited in expertise and equipment for successful geothermal projects.

Barbour is aggressive in its ongoing research efforts to provide the most comprehensive and advanced methods of well drilling and associated services such as; workover – rehabilitation, geophysical logging, Pressure Temperature Survey and downhole video services.

Barbour is a current IADC member and provides both direct mud rotary (conventional) drilling, vertical and directional, as well as reverse rotary underbalanced drilling for specialized applications.

Barbour has a lengthy list of clientele and project references which are available upon request.  Of particular importance is the work done for the geothermal industry with companies such as; Enel North America, Ormat, U.S. Navy, Calpine and Nevada Geothermal. Barbour has also performed for the government at the Nevada Test Site in Mercury, Nevada.

Barbour maintains; current C23 and A9 Contractors Licenses in Nevada, a C53/D09 Contractors License in California, and additional drilling contractor’s licenses in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Wireline services and geothermal pump installation also are available in most of the Western United States.

Barbour maintains complete in-house facilities for support, repair, maintenance, and calibration of all their equipment. These facilities include an electronic engineering department, machine shop and mechanical repair shop.
